Dear Craig,

I pray that this letter finds you in good spirits and at a time when you are drawing close to the Lord Jesus Christ. My hopes are that you are finding the freedom and peace of mind that only Jesus Christ can give.

My wife and I think about both you and Kelly on a daily basis.  We pray for your salvation, your comfort, and your security.  We look forward to our next visit in person with you both.

I have included two copies, one for you to keep, and one for you to send back to me.  I pray that the Lord leads and guides us both in this endeavor.  On the very day that we had spoke in further detail about this, my verse-a-day calendar had this daily reading printed on it:

And we know that all things
work together for good
to them that love God,
to them who are the called
according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Craig, it is my belief that God can use this entire situation for his purpose.  I praise Him and thank Him that you are moving forward in this direction.

One time when we talked you mentioned the reason for not reading my book.  I understand that, and I also understand that other bodybuilders refuse to read it for the same reasons. I trust that even so, God is dealing with their hearts.

Craig, I know that God can use you to reveal the evil side of bodybuilding.  To bring freedom to those that are captivated by the sport.  To make them think twice before they travel down the road that you have traveled.

I pray that God gives you the discernment to express yourself and share with others those things that need to be shared.  To sound an alarm and warn others, to deter them from following the same path that leads to destruction.

We have a way to reach out to those who deeply love and are involved in the same sport we both once were.  As I pray about our work together the Lord led me to this verse:

Two are better than one;
because they have a
good reward for their labour.
Ecclesiastes 4:9

And Craig, were not talking about money here.  It's about the salvation of souls.  It's about steering others away from a lifestyle that turns people away from God and our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

I am privileged to be working with you in this matter.  I ask that you read the Bible that I have sent you and that you pray daily and ask God for the words that he would have you to share with others.

My wife and I pray that you and Kelly will stay strong throughout all of this.  I can only imagine that this must be unbelievably hard for the both of you.  I pray that God give you both the strength to endure all things.

I checked on your court date and so far it is scheduled for July 13, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. for both you and Kelly. I am hoping to be able to come out to Las Vegas during that time.

Please keep me informed as to how you and Kelly are doing with commissary money. I would also like to have some books and other material sent to you direct from a Christian publishing house so that you have some good stuff to read.

Craig, I look forward to your phone calls and our conversations.  I am trying to get into the habit of forwarding my home office calls to my cell when I am out so that I do not miss your calls.

Perhaps we could get into the habit of communicating around the same approximate times each day to avoid me being away from my home office. Think about that, and let me know if there would be any particular times that would be good.

Finally Craig, I want to leave you with this verse that has helped me a great deal in keeping all things into perspective.  This is what I think about when the devil tries to intimidate me and keep me from the mission God has for me. It is found in Luke chapter twelve verse five and it reads:

But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:
Fear him, which after he hath killed
 hath power to cast into hell;
yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Craig, I hope to talk to you soon.  I will keep myself posted of any changes in your court date and I will make every effort to come to Las Vegas for those proceedings.
